Entrepreneurs from Apps.co come to 4YFN to offer their services in the world's most important ICT entrepreneurship event
As at March 1, six initiatives of the ICT Policy initiative of the ICT Ministry will be representing Colombia in 'Four Years From Now' (4YFN) within the framework of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Minister David Luna visited his stands today at the event.
Enterprises from Apps.co, an initiative of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies (MinTIC), will be in the "For Years From Now" (4YFN) until March 1th, a meeting point for startups from around the world. This event is part of the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the world' largest exhibition of Mobile Industry.
"We are very happy for the great representation of entrepreneurs that are representing us in the 4YFN. This is due to the great effort made by MinTIC and Procolombia to let the world know the strengths of the ICT industry in Colombia. Our entrepreneurs from Apps.co will be able to do business with investors from all over the world and contribute to the transition of Colombia towards the Digital Economy of the country.
They are up to the best startups in the world", said Minister of ICT David Luna, who accompanied the entrepreneurs and made a tour through the stands of the event.
In 4YFN, the entrepreneurs, who successfully completed the Growth and Consolidation phase of Apps.co, will have business appointments with investors and companies from different parts of the world, with the aim of offering the products and services that are developed in the country. In addition, they will have access to networking sessions divided by industry, where companies, investors, customers and partners can build business networks.
The participation of the entrepreneurs arises out of the agreement between the ICT Ministry and Procolombia, under the 'Colombia Bring IT On' campaign, which seeks to support the internationalization of companies of Digital Content, IT and ICT ventures.
The projects that participate in the 4YFN are:
AbogadosYa.co (Bucaramanga) - is a web platform that allows users to make legal inquiries online for free.
Fixiie (Bogotá) - is an administrative web platform and mobile application where companies have the possibility to see in real time the current location of their employees and the progress of their work.
Gocargo (Barranquilla) - is a platform that connects through technology to cargo generators and carriers with customers who need to ship easily and safely.
Eventsite (Bucaramanga) - is a platform that allows companies of the entertainment sector to manage their reserves in a private, safe and personalized way; and publish the information of events.
Packen (Bogotá) - is a platform that connects a need for cargo transportation with certified transportation companies, at urban and national level, generating value in transparency and reliability.
Lysis (Bogotá) - is a web and mobile platform that processes, stores, interprets and allows sharing of clinical laboratory results, integrating patients and health institutions in one place.
