The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunications and the Administrative Department of Civil Service will be the hosts of this important forum that has been held annually in cities such as New York, Seoul, Barcelona, Vienna and Manama.

The event will also be attended by ministers, senior government officials, mayors and representatives of civil society, academia, the private sector and international organizations. On this occasion, the topic of the meeting will be: "Innovating in the Delivery of Public Services to Implement the Post 2015 Development Agenda".

"Colombia being the host of this forum represents global recognition and motivation to keep working to increase the quality of national public services and innovation with ICT," indicated the Minister of ICT, David Luna.

"It is a marvelous moment to highlight our public officials, who each day incorporate innovation into public services and generate new options to facilitate the lives of Colombians, ensuring the best service for citizens and applying the Good Governance Strategy of the National Development Plan. It is also an opportunity to learn about the innovation experiences of other countries that could be replicated in our country," said Liliana Caballero, Director of Civil Service.

The Division for Public Administration and Development Management (DPADM) of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) have promoted the event since 2003.
