He is an industrial engineer, with a focus on management, from the Miami University, he has as well, an executive MBA in Health Sector Management and Policy. . In 2008, he completed the entrepreneurship program in social innovation with StartingBloc at the London Business School (England).
Before his appointment as Vice Minister of Digital Economy, he was an advisor to the office of the Minister of Health and Social Protection on issues related to digital transformation, where he led the strategy of the medical history and electronic billing interoperability projects, in addition to the regulation of Telehealth and Telemedicine in the country.
He has over 15 years of experience in process and equipment management in industries in the United States and Latin America, managing to implement strategies and improvement programs within organizations from different roles, obtaining positive results in terms of efficiency and competitiveness.
He served as executive director of the Office of Quality and Patient Safety, and project manager of the Office of Process Improvement of the Health System at the University of Miami. He also served as project director of the Owens & Minor Surgical Program, and as a management and operations consultant at Tefen Management Consulting.
