Minister David Luna spoke of Colombia's progress in privacy and digital security, within the framework of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The head of the ICT portfolio emphasized that in Colombia this issue is in the hands of the Presidency of the Republic of Colombia, which creates a High Council for Digital Security, which allows the public agenda of the country to understand the dimension and importance of this Problematic.

"This is a public safety problem, the most important thing is that the population and members of the Government are aware that while technology has a responsibility, there are also others: research, justice, security and police. In this sense, this issue is coordinated directly by the President of Colombia", said Minister Luna.

In the panel, moderated by Sebastián Cabello, Head of Latin America of the GSMA, and with the participation of the Minister of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communications of Brazil, Gilberto Kassab, Minister Luna also stressed that Colombia has signed important agreements with neighboring countries to combat the theft of mobile phones.
